My place of employment is right next to a popular hotel known for auto events in Dayton. So when I arrived to work and seen hot rods filling their parking lot, I had to take a few moments to admire them and capture their simplistic beauty of classic machinery.

I thought about waiting until lunch time for shooting but I wanted to take advantage of the warm morning sun with the long shadows and avoid the harshness of mid day sun. Reflections made getting the proper exposure a little difficult and was glad to have the RAW advantage for processing later where I chose to use a different processing look than I normally use for color images. It just seemed gritty and fitting to the subject.
